Marinated Tomatoes with Mozzarella Recipe
Fantastic and straightforward marinated tomatoes with mozzarella recipe is ideal for refreshing the palate’s senses in the summer with a starter that takes us back to the traditional flavors of Italian countryside.
Wash and cut into thick slices 2 tomatoes and then place them on the base of a tray to add salt and pepper to your likings.
Prepare in a bowl a mixture of 6 tablespoons of virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons of balsamic oil, 1 tablespoon of honey, and stir.
Dip the tomato slices in the dressing and marinate for 10 minutes.
Serve 4 slices of tomato on each plate and top with 4 slices of mozzarella cheese. Pour the marinade left on the tray over the cheese and decorate with some chopped basil leaves.
