Cheesy Macaroni and Cheese
Pasta, in general, and macaroni, in particular, are favorite foods for children. This time, we will show you how to cook some cheesy macaroni and cheese. Creamy under a melted crust of toasted cheese, to enjoy two different flavor textures.
Directions
In a pot, boil 1 lb. of macaroni for 10-12 minutes. Drain and cool.
Now we will prepare a base of bechamel sauce to which we will add all the ingredients.
In a pot melt 1/4 cup of butter. Add 1/4 cup of flour and stir for a minute so that it doesn’t burn.
Add 4 cups of milk and stir little by little at medium-low heat until the mixture has thickened.
When ready, add the macaroni, 8 oz of Emmental cheese, 1 lb of grated aged Cheddar cheese, 8 oz grated white Cheddar cheese, and salt and black pepper to taste.
Gently stir the ingredients for a couple of minutes, pour the mixture into a baking dish, and add a layer of 1 lb of grated aged Cheddar cheese.
Bake at 350º for about 20 minutes until you get a golden crust that will give you that unique added flavor.
